A bat ate 1,050 mosquitoes in four nights. Each night she ate 25 more than the night before.
How many did she eat each night?

Well, this means that 75 were eaten extra so i guess subtract 75 from 1050 which makes 975 and divide by 4 and add 25 each night starting on the 2nd night.
or u cood do it the way that involves absolutely no thinking whatsoever! trial and error!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but either way it isnt a hard problem at all so i want to know why it was for 7th and 8th graders... oh yah, america's kids (xept 4 gha) are stupid!!!! hee hee hee
well i used trial and error, and started with the first night being that the bat ate 100. Then it would be 125,150,& 175. Which equals 550. That's too low, so I kept on going a bit higher each time until I finally got the answer!

you could just keep going higher and higher like jessica did but you could save a lot of time by using your first guess. 100 gave you way too low of an answer so you could skip to something higher, like 200. It wouldn't take long after that.

i mean 150 more so 900/4 is 225
s 225 the first night, 250 the second night, 275 the third night, and 300 the fourth night.
